CANCELLATIONS
Our 24 Hour Cancellation Policy
Here is our cancellation policy for all massage, foot soak, and sauna appointments:
-
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule any appointment.
-
Any appointment canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full service fee.
-
Appointments booked online are charged in full at the time of booking. These appointments can be canceled with more than 24 hours notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice from the scheduled time will not be refunded.
-
Appointments cannot be shortened or downgraded with less than 24 hours' notice and will be charged the full service fee.
This policy is in place for several important reasons:
-
To maximize appointment availability: When appointments are canceled, shortened, or downgraded with short notice, it becomes very difficult to offer that time slot or the newly unneeded portion of that time to other clients.
-
To support our staff: We guarantee our massage staff's schedules 24 hours in advance. This policy ensures they are compensated for their time, even when appointments are canceled, shortened, or downgraded late.

Substitute Clients:
-
In the event of an unexpected late cancellation, you may send someone else in your place. To ensure a seamless experience, we require the following:
-
You must notify us as soon as possible that you will be sending a substitute client.
-
You must provide us with the name and phone number of the substitute client.
-
You must provide us with the payment arrangement, indicating who will be responsible for paying for the session.

This will allow us to:
-
Send the stand-in client the necessary intake forms.
-
Effectively introduce them to our space and procedures.
TIME
Make Time for Yourself
We encourage you to make time for yourself before your appointment. Arriving 10-15 minutes early allows you to ease into your self-care journey. You can enjoy a wellness beverage, use the restroom, and unwind on our comfortable heated furniture.

Late Arrivals
Please note that arriving later than your scheduled appointment time will unfortunately result in a shortened session to ensure we can accommodate all of our valued clients.
In the event that you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible. This will allow us to prepare for your arrival and ensure a smooth transition into your session.

WHAT TO WEAR
For Your Massage
For your massage at The Care Collective, wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable arriving.

When it's time for your massage, you'll undress to your comfort level. This means you can leave your underpants on, or you can choose to remove them – the choice is entirely yours.

Your privacy will be carefully maintained throughout your massage using a sheet and proper draping techniques. Draping involves using the sheet to keep parts of your body covered while the therapist works on a specific area. Some Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapists (LMBTs) prefer to undrape only the area they are currently working on, while others who use longer, full-body strokes might undrape one side of your body at a time.

Rest assured, your privacy is of the utmost importance to your therapist and is also a key focus of the North Carolina Massage Board's regulations. Draping is a standard practice to ensure your comfort and privacy during your massage.

The NC Massage Board prioritizes client modesty and establishes clear guidelines for how massage therapists should use draping to maintain professional boundaries and ensure a respectful and comfortable experience for the client.

We also offer massage services where clients can remain fully clothed, including assisted stretching and Thai massage. Any LMBT here can accommodate your comfort level regarding remaining clothed for your session for general massage as well.

WHAT TO WEAR
For Your Sauna Session
When visiting The Care Collective for a sauna session, please be aware that nudity is not allowed. You may wear a bathing suit, athletic wear, shorts, a sports bra, or feel free to use one of the robes we provide.

WHAT TO WEAR
For Your Footsoak
When you come for your footsoak at TCC, we'll provide a comfy robe for you. Some people also like to wear loose pants or shorts, just make sure they can be easily pulled up to your knees. This is a wonderful service if you're experiencing any discomfort in your knees, ankles, feet, or calves.

WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR MASSAGE
Aftercare Tips
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during your massage.

Take it easy: Give your body time to rest and absorb the benefits. Avoid intense workouts or heavy lifting right after.

Stretch gently: If you feel any soreness, light stretching can help.

Heat or ice: If targeted areas feel extra tender, a warm bath or a cold compress may soothe them.
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR SAUNA
Aftercare Tips
Rehydrate deeply: You’ve likely sweated a lot—replenish with water or an electrolyte-rich drink.

Cool down gradually: Allow your body to return to its normal temperature slowly before showering or heading outside.

Listen to your body: You may feel deeply relaxed or a little tired—both are normal. Rest if needed.
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR FOOTSOAK
Aftercare Tips
Moisturize: Your skin will be extra soft. Lock in the hydration with a nourishing lotion or oil.

Keep the calm going: Footsoaks help relax your entire nervous system. Continue the vibe with a quiet evening or gentle movement like yoga or a walk.

Stay warm: Especially in cooler months, keep your feet warm afterward to maintain circulation benefits.
